Glitch in the New Indian Map

A picture showing the wrong image of the map of India is going viral. The viral image shows the state of Jammu and Kashmir being divided in half. The left half as Jammu and Kashmir, and the right one as Ladakh. The picture also has copyright 2019 www.mapsofindia.com written on it.

Following the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, the state was transitioned into Union territory along with Ladakh. The Surveyor General of India on October 31 revealed the new political map of India depicting the changes.

In the actual map, Ladakh consists of two districts Kargil and Leh while the rest of the former state of Jammu and Kashmir is in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
