SBI Card boosts app with e-Store

According to Vijay Jasuja, CEO, SBI Card, e-Store is a platform within the mobile app, which enables cardholders to make purchases from partner merchants in a seamless manner, while availing exclusive offers and benefits. SBI Card has partnered with Goibibo, a leading travel aggregator, as its first online merchant on e Store. 

“The e-Store platform will soon be expanded to offer consumers access to a variety of merchants. The company plans to partner with various E-commerce merchants, across categories, to provide a holistic online shopping experience to consumers on e-Store,” he said. 

“The current environment in India is clearly indicative that digital payments are the way forward. The need of the day is to make digital transactions as convenient, safe and rewarding as possible for consumers. Introduction of the e-Store platform on our mobile app is a step in this direction,” Mr Jasuja said. 

He added: “We have been witnessing a consistent increase in our customers’ interactions with us through the mobile app. Consumers are increasingly turning to mobile apps for everyday tasks. Now, in addition to existing services, cardholders can also transact directly on our mobile app while enjoying substantial savings through rewards and discounts. We believe this facility will further enhance the user experience. 

“While we have started with travel category, we are in talks with various online merchants and are looking to partner with sellers in different categories. Cardholders can book flights, buses and hotels with ease on Goibibo through e-Store, while availing exclusive discounts and offers.
