Vocational training with Swiss edge

The programme was aimed at promoting and disseminating the Swiss VET Initiative to potentially interested partners in India who could effectively benefit from improved productivity and competitiveness. 

Institutions imparting skills training in India too can upgrade and expand their own programme range, faculty and service levels.  Under this programme, the Swiss VET system model has been adapted to the Indian environment. 

To celebrate 60 years of the Indo-Swiss bilateral friendship treaty, this initiative was instituted in 2008, by the Swiss-Indian Chamber of Commerce, Swiss Engineering, Electrical and Metalworking Industry Association, Swiss Federal Institute for VET and the Federal Office for Professional Education and Technology. The knowledge partner for the programme, SkillSonics offers courses for training and upgrading instructors. Skillsonics is an NSDC partner company.
