Best firms for women recognised

The awards were presented to the companies by Subha Barry, Senior VP and MD, Working Mother Media and Dr Saundarya Rajesh, Founder-President AVTAR Group, amidst the presence of eminent industry veterans.

Compared to last year, the workforce in terms of women representation of the 100 best companies rose from 25 to 30 per cent. Also 36 per cent of all new hires in these companies are women this year, which is a big jump from 21 per cent last year. 

Taking the next step towards achieving the ideal gender balance at workplaces, the one-day conference brought into limelight the best practices of the 100 Best Companies for Women in India and offered a platform for sharing innovations in the field of Diversity & Inclusion. Spread across 9 sessions, the conference also acted as a forum for Diversity practitioners from around the globe to share strategies for building sustainable D&I practices at workplace. The conference featured a balance mixture of high-profile speakers from across different industries. 

The top 10 companies for women in India include Accenture Solutions, Deloitte, EY, IBM INDIA, Northern Trust Bank, People Combine Educational Initiatives, Procter & Gamble, Schneider India Markets and TCS. The selection was based on data of highest order granularity spanning seven key policy clusters, namely, Workforce profile, Flexible work, Women’s recruitment and retention, Benefits, Paid-time, Company culture and Safety and security, as provided by the applicant companies.
