Home healthcare services of Philips now in Chennai

Philips India, a health technology firm, announces the expansion of its Healthcare@home services here, with the launch of ICU@home.

The new service will provide intensive care unit equipment and high-quality medical care at home for patients and has been developed in consultation with doctors and hospitals. The service offers ICU-trained nurses providing care and doctors remotely monitoring the patient.

As of now, Philips has provided home care services to more than 2,500 patients. Over 200 doctors working currently with Philips as a part of care Philips work directly with doctors in more than 200 hospitals across cities, the senior officials said here.

Over the last few months it has successfully introduced this service across 4 cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Hyderabad; bringing expert care and technology to patients in a hospital like set up at home, making things easier for both the patient and care givers.
