CII to develop state’s Tier II cities
Outlining CII-SR’s priorities for 2018-19, R Dinesh the newly-elected Chairman of CII Southern Region, said South, with its vibrant industrial ecosystem, aided by business-friendly policies, has always had an upper hand, when it comes to the contribution to the GDP.

To keep up the growth momentum, CII will work on specific areas such as industrial corridors, development of tier II cities besides focus on key policy enablers to support growth of MSMEs in the region.
The theme of “Vibrant South – Competitive, Inclusive and Responsible” for the southern region would lead to CII focusing on key enablers such as job creation, skill development and training, governance and transparency for accelerating South’s growth and development.
As part of its membership engagement initiatives, CII will focus on policy regime transitions, sector specific policies, SMEs Cluster programmes, incentives for growth, IT penetration, Technology and IP and global engagement facilitation, he said.
