Strong uptake for regional tours in TN: Thomas Cook
For Thomas Cook India, TN is a critical source market and forms a vital part of its strategic plan 2018-19. With a strong YoY growth of over 23%, the state contributes a significant 10% to Thomas Cook India’s leisure business.

The demand from cities like Chennai, Coimbatore and Salem continues to show impressive growth. This is complemented by emerging potential seen from Madurai, Erode and Tiruchy. Romil Pant- SVP - Leisure Travel, Thomas Cook (India) Ltd said, “TN currently contributes a significant 10% to our overall Thomas Cook business and given the strong YoY growth and high potential, we have identified the state as a key strategic focus for our company.”
After a market-customer research, “We had created regional tours that offer a regional touch while on an international holiday and this has been inspiring impressive uptake with a growth of 44% YoY,” he added.
Thomas Cook India has enhanced its distribution with network presence across 50 consumer access centres: 23 owned branches and 27 Gold Circle Partner (franchise) outlets across 25 cities in the South market.
It offers a strong network in TN with 15 consumer access centres – 7 owned branches and 8 Gold Circle Partners.
