Sundram Fasteners Ltd net loss at Rs 25.43 cr for June quarter

Sundram Fasteners Ltd (SFL) had gradually resumed its operations across all the plant locations from May.

For the reporting quarter, SFL truncated operations in May and June 2020. The revenue from operations of SFL was lower at Rs 276.73 cr for the quarter ended June 30, 2020 as against Rs 945.35 cr during the same period in the previous year. Export sales for the quarter ended June 30, 2020 were at Rs 135.02 cr as against Rs 348.28 cr during the same period in the previous year. SFL recorded positive earnings before depreciation and taxes (EBDT) despite challenging market conditions due to stringent cost control measures.

The EBDT for the quarter ended June 30, 2020 was at Rs 5.08 cr as against Rs 167.25 cr during the same period in the previous year. The net loss (standalone) for the quarter ended June 30, 2020 was at Rs 23.48 cr as against net profit of Rs 93.11 cr during the same period in the previous year. The consolidated net loss for the quarter ended June 30, 2020 was at Rs 25.43 crores as against net profit of Rs 96.89 cr during the same period in the previous year.
