Bosch Chennai plant reaches 10 mn power tools mark

Bosch Power Tools India, a leading supplier of power tools for the construction, woodworking, and metalworking industry, announced the rollout of the 10-millionth power tool from its plant located in Oragadam, Chennai, thereby demonstrating its engineering and manufacturing prowess.

The facility came up in Chennai in mid-2015 and currently manufactures over 60 power tools, which includes eight types of power tools for artisans and tradesmen.

“Bosch Power Tools has had a good run in India over the last two decades, and the rollout of our 10-millionth power tool at our plant in Chennai serves as a testament to our commitment to Indian users. The products from our plant have been instrumental in driving growth for Bosch’s Power Tools business in India. It is a great milestone in our Journey to fascinate our users with affordable products. The facility is actively contributing to building an Atamanibhar Bharat,” said Nishant Sinha, Regional Business Director, India and SAARC regions, Bosch Power Tools.

The power tools plant is well-aligned with Bosch’s Made in India strategy and has become India’s key supplier of power tools both in terms of value and volume. This facility spread over two acres is driven by a motivated team of women workforce that boasts an outstanding collaboration with the India sales, marketing and logistics operations.

The plant manufactures Bosch’s featured product range such as angle grinders, Impact drills, air blowers, rotary hammers, and rotary drills.
