Chiyaan Vikram and Bala are known to share a great rapport off films. It was Bala’s Sethu (1999) that took Vikram’s career to a different level altogether. But things have fallen apart between the actor and the filmmaker after Bala was ousted from Dhruv’s Varmaa after the producers were disappointed with the output. On Monday, Bala sent a show cause notice to Vikram and warned the team of Adithya Varma not to use any scene from the version that he had shot. Varmaa has been reshot has by Girisayya, the associate director of the original. A source close to the unit told DTNext, “We have shot the film from scratch and haven’t replicated even a single frame from Bala’s version. In fact, Adithya Varma is on a par with Arjun Reddy. We don’t have to react toBala’s warning.”

Post the scrapping of Varmaa, Bala had issued a statement in which he said, ““I am forced to release this explanation due to a false statement from the producer of Varmaa. In order to safeguard creative freedom, it was my own decision to relieve myself from this project. Considering Dhruv Vikram’s future, I would like to end this here.”

But contrary to his statement, the ace filmmaker has now created another controversy.
