Sasikumar to star in Nel Jayaraman’s biopic

He will be playing the lead in the biopic of the late Nel Jayaraman, a renowned farmer and consumer activist, who dedicated his life for collecting, reviving and preserving traditional paddy varieties. Recently, director Era Saravanan of Kathukutty fame revealed on his Twitter that Nel Jayaraman’s story has found a place in school textbooks and he is extremely happy about it. Within a few minutes, Sasikumar retweeted it and wrote that Nel Jayaraman’s biopic is on the cards and the film will be directed by none-other-than Era Saravanan himself.

Sources say that the film will go on floors in a couple of months and Sasikumar will portray Nel Jayaraman’s role on the screen. The actor-director is currently waiting for the release of three films — Nadodigal 2, Kombu Vecha Singam and Kennedy Club.
