Walter will be an intense cop thriller, says director

Sibi’s father Sathyaraj is known for his cop role asWalter Vetrivel in the 90s. “If Sathyaraj sir is known as Walter Vetrivel, Sibi will be famous for his role of Walter in this film. I wanted a fresh face who could carry himself well as a cop and Sibi looked tailor-made for it. Shirin Kanchwala plays the heroine. She plays a girl from Kumbakonam, where we are hunting for locales. The entire film will be shot around Kumbakonam and Thanjavur,” the director of the film Anbu told DT Next. 

With a cop film releasing every Friday, the director said that the film is a political crime thriller. “Sibi will be seen sporting a different look and we worked on it. Moreover Walter will touch upon several crimes including politics,” he added. Talking about the shooting schedules, he said, “We will be shooting on a 48-day schedule and wrap up the film. Apart from that Samuthirakani plays a pivotal role as well. It is a character-driven script and will revolve around four important characters. We are announcing yet another pivotal character, who will be a huge star later this week.”
