However, it looks like, there will be a delay in the film’s release as a popular production house has filed a complaint against the makers of the film in the Producers’ Council demanding for a title change.

A few days ago, reports were rife that director Pandiraj had registered the film’s title as Enga Veetu Pillai, named after MGR’s popular blockbuster flick, released in 1956. Following this, Vijaya Productions, a well known production company which bankrolled many MGR films including Enga Veetu Pillai, has sent a notice to the Producers’ Council that they have no intentions to give the title of their old film to anyone. They have also asked the makers of Pandiraj’s film to change their film’s title.

A source close to the team says, “Both Sivakarthikeyan and Pandiraj felt that Enga Veetu Pillai will be the apt title for the film. They have initiated discussions with Vijaya Productions to solve this issue as soon as possible.” Touted to be a rural family entertainer, the film features stars like Anu Emmanuel, Aishwarya Rajesh, Samuthirakani, Natraj, RK Suresh and Yogi Babu.
