Venkat Prabhu to work on a web series

The latest we hear is that, Venkat Prabhu is all set to direct an interesting web series before finalising the cast of his next feature film. A source close to the team says, “Since STR is yet to give dates for the project, the director has decided to make a web series with newcomers. It will be premiered on Hotstar and will be something on the lines of his comedy flicks. An official announcement will be made in a week’s time.” Interestingly, the director has earlier made a short film for Viu app, Maasha Alla Ganesha, featuring Sampath in the lead role.

Meanwhile, the director is also shooting for Vaibhav’s upcoming film, in which he will be seen playing a role of a cop. He is also waiting for the release of his film Party, which was completed a year ago.
