Samantha’s look from 96 remake goes viral

The U-Turn star was seen sporting a traditional outfit, holding a mic, trying to recreate the character played by Trisha in the original. The shoot is currently happening at a private hotel in Hyderabad and a major part of it was shot at a school on the outskirts of Telangana. Actor Sharwanand will be seen reprising Vijay Sethupathi’s role in the remake. Directed by Prem Kumar, 96 is one of the most successful romantic blockbusters of Kollywood. The story revolves around two childhood sweethearts who meet each other 20 years later at their school reunion event. How their love story unfolds forms the crux of the film. Earlier, director Prem Kumar had clarified that there would be no major changes made in the script of the original. Produced by Dil Raju’s Sri Venkateswara Creations, music will be composed by Govind Vasantha who had also composed for the original.
