‘The medium doesn’t matter, story does’

Talking to DT Next, Guru Somasundaram says, “Though it marks my digital debut, I don’t see any great difference. It is just another form of conveying a story to the audience. The paramaters I look for in a script is how good it is and what scope my role has in elevating the story. That way Topless will be yet another engrossing subject for the audience.” He adds that the web series has gone on floors and he will start shooting for his portions from September.

On the film front, Guru says he has finished shooting for Vijay Sethupathi’s Maamanithan and Idhu Vedhalam Sollum Kadhai. “There have been reports that I am a part of Devi 2 and Asuran, which isn’t the truth. I will be playing a cop in Sasikumar’s next produced by Nemichand Jhabak. My role will have different shades to it,” he adds.
