VP, Premgi launch first single from Pistha

“Pistha is my 25th film and I’m glad that I have had the opportunity to work with Yuvan again after Siddhu +2. When we composed tunes for Azhagula Raasathi, we thought that Yuvan could do justice to the song,” the composer told DT Next. He added that the song will be on a similar meter to Yuvan’s Kambathu Ponne from Sandakozhi 2. “Having sung chartbusters in Siva Manasula Sakthi and Kattradhu Tamizh, this song will be totally a different track in Yuvan’s voice. We have used folk instrument as it is set in the backdrop of Kumbakonam. The song will have an instant connect to the storyline. Releasing it on his birthday has made the song even more special,” Dharan said.

Pistha, directed by M Ramesh Bharathi, is a rural comedy that has Metro Shirish, Mrudula Murali and Arundhathi Nair in lead roles.
