Actress Pallavi Joshi says her upcoming release, "Painful Pride", is an important and sensitive film.

" 'Painful Pride' is a very important and sensitive film that deals with human emotions. It's important for both men and women to watch it. It's been made entirely by a young team with the dynamic and sweet Saumitra Singh at the helm. I feel very special and privileged that I'm a part of this project," said Pallavi.

Directed by Saumitra Singh, who earlier made the acclaimed short film, "The Wallet", the films features Pallavi along with TV actor Rituraj K. Singh in lead roles.

Rituraj said that the script was good and he could easily connect with it. "I strongly believe this subject is unique, because in daily life we go through several circumstances when we are insensitive and ignorant about each other's feelings."

Maansi, who has produced and conceived the film, said: "'Painful Pride' is about transformation of thoughts and words into meaningful action. I feel grateful to work with such brilliant actors as Pallavi Joshi and Rituraj K. Singh."

Yantra pictures' "Painful Pride" has been put together by Neha Sharma and Sankalp Raj Tripathi.

The team plans to screen the film in various national and international festivals before releasing it on OTT platform next year.
