A couple of years ago, actors Rana Daggubati and Regina Cassandra told us that their upcoming film 1945, titled Madai Thirandhu in Tamil was an interesting project. The story was set in the pre-independence era and was supposed to hit the screens in 2018.

However, the project was put on hold after Rana and the producer of the film SN Rajarajan had a dispute over Telugu dubbing rights. The latest is that makers of the film unveiled the first look a couple of days ago. Rana immediately tweeted and asked his fans not to ‘entertain’ such things. “This is an unfinished film with the Producer who had defaulted on monies and on completion. Haven’t met them for over a year. This is his idea of raising money in the Markets by cheating more people :) pls don’t entertain this. Thanks (sic)”

Rajarajan, who already has civil and criminal proceedings against him for his dues to makers of Baahubali hit back at Rana and said, “The Director is the one who decides whether the film is complete or not.. Let the audience decide whether this film is complete or not. Almost 60 days of shoot and crores of money invested, nobody will release an unfinished movie.@Sathyasivadir A director decides the script.(sic)”. Directed by Sathyashiva, the film has its music by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
