Magizh Thirumeni to direct Vijay 65

Vijay, who has decided to sign films in quick successions of late has already zeroed in on the director and the script for Vijay 65. Vijay fans you heard it right. The actor’s next will be helmed by Magizh Thirumeni, the director whose Thadam is one of the few successful films at the box office in Tamil cinema this year. A source in K’town told DTNext, “The film will be high on action, a genre which is Magizh’s forte. Vijay heard the script during the schedule break of Vijay 64 in the last week of October and was impressed. They are taking things forward. Magizh is currently focusing on the pre-production of his next with Udhayanidhi Stalin. Once Thalapathy 64 releases in April, the shoot of his 65th project will go on floors from June 2020.”

Apart from Magizh Thirumeni, cinematographer Gopinath, who had operated the camera for Vijay’s hit films like Ghilli and Kuruvi will collaborate with Magizh Thirumeni yet again after Thadam. Vijay is currently shooting in Delhi for a lengthy schedule for the tentatively titled T64 in which he plays a professor. Meanwhile, Magizh Thirumeni too shot for his portions in Arya’s Teddy and will be seen as an antagonist in Vijay Sethupathi’s Yaadhum Oorey Yaavarum Kelir.
