Actors Arya and Vishal have always known for their off screen camaraderie. The duo has played the lead roles in Bala’s Avan Ivan, a film that won critical acclaim for their performances. Arya was the initial choice to play the antagonist in Vishal’s Irumbu Thirai directed by PS Mithran. However, the actor opted out due to date issues. The latest is that Arya has agreed to play the villain to his bestie Vishal in Anand Shankar’s upcoming film. A source in the know of things told DT Next, “Anand Shankar narrated to Arya the script last week and the actor was quite impressed with the character. He will join Vishal for the project in Malaysia starting in February. Ritu Varma has been approached to play the female lead in the project. It is a double-heroine script and the makers are yet to finalise the actress, who will be cast opposite Arya. An official announcement on the film will be made by Anand Shankar and lead actors in January.”
On the work front, Vishal is in London shooting for Thupparivaalan 2 while Arya recently completed shooting for Teddy directed by Shakthi Soundararajan.
