Major portions of Indian 2 have Kamal’s body double

Kamal Haasan recently underwent a surgery to remove an implant placed in his leg after he had a fracture in 2016. However, despite that, the actor was shooting for Indian 2 without any break and busy with his political committments as well.

The latest we hear is that the legendary actor, who is known for performing stunts, had apparently suggested the makers of the film to rope in a body double to shoot major action sequences. In fact, the stills that recently made to the internet from the sets of the film, apparently featured his body double.

A source close to the film’s unit says,”The makers of the film roped in stunt master Peter Hein’s assistant as Kamal’s body double. They have been shooting high octane stunt sequences featuring him and he has given bulk dates for the film. Kamal Haasan, too, felt that a body double would do justice for the role, as he is not fit, physically.” The source also added that the picture which had Kamal riding a horse in the middle of the road was also performed by his body double.

The team recently shot major portions of the film in Gwalior and Bhopal. We also learn that they will head to Taiwan in early 2020.

The industry grapevine is also that Vijay Sethupathi has been signed on to play the negative role and the actor will join the sets in February. Bankrolled by Lyca Production, the film also has actors like Siddharth, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet, Priya Bhavani Shankar and Bobby Simha.
