Rajini has no connection to my views: Lawrence
Director-actor Raghava Lawrence has been the target of trolls since the audio launch of Darbar. While speaking at the event, he said that he threw cow dung on Kamal Haasan’s film posters as a youngster to show his loyalty to Rajini.

Later that week, he clarified by saying, “I have huge respect for Kamal sir. Whenever I feel I have spoken something wrong, I apologise, but in this case, I haven’t said anything wrong. You will know if you see the whole video properly. A few people are planning to twist this. I know how much respect I have for Kamal sir in my heart. I think it’s not necessary to prove or explain it to anyone.”
Kamal fans are in no mood to listen to Lawrence and have been targeting him in several social media posts. OnDecember 22, Lawrence in a statement said, “There are people from media calling me and asking me to explain a few things. I am now busy with the shoot of my Bollywood flick and I will respond to everyone after I wrap up the shoot of this film. However, I would like to clarify that the views I have expressed are mine and Rajini sir has no connection to this entire episode. A section of people has been falsely coming up with posts saying that it is him (Rajini), who has been pushing me to do this, and I strongly refute such claims.”
