After being away from the industry for almost two years, popular comedian Vadivelu announced that he is all set to make a comeback with Kamal Haasan’s much-awaited film, Thalaivan Irukkiraan, which is touted to be the sequel to the latter’s 1992 hit film, Thevar Magan.

However, it looks like the shoot of the film will begin only after April 2020 as Kamal is busy with his political commitments and Indian 2. In the meantime, we hear from reliable sources that Vadivelu and Parthiban are coming together for a project after almost 14 years and it will be a complete comedy entertainer.

Interestingly, Parthiban, too, posted a picture of himself with his long-time friend Vadivelu and wrote, “Today’s meet might become tomorrow’s news.”

Though the actor-turned-director wasn’t available for the comment, a close source says that the film will be bankrolled by a popular production house and the shoot will begin in January, next year. “The pre-production works have already begun and the makers are planning to release it for summer 2020.

An official annoucement will be made soon,” the source adds.

Unlikely to be part of a web series

Recently, there were reports that Vadivelu is all set to foray into digital space with a comedy web series.  Speculations were also that, his character is inspired from Nesamani, a role from his blockbuster film Friends.  We hear that the makers have narrated the script to Vadivelu and is waiting for his confirmation. However, a source close to the actor reveals us that he has turned down the offer due to his other commitments.
