Now, it looks like, the actor’s cult classic film, Aalavandhan, which  was released in 2001, is all set to be re-mastered and re-released in theatres, this year. A source in the know of things says that the producer of the film Kalaipuli S Thanu has decided to release the film in mid 2020, as he feels that people now would connect to this film better than in the 2000s. “Thanu has requested Kamal Haasan to reduce the length of the film to two hours and make it crisper before re-releasing it,” the source adds.  Aalavandhan is a psychological thriller, which had Kamal Haasan in dual roles. Raveena Tandon, Manisha Koirala, Anu Haasan, Riyaz Khan, Fathima Babu and Gollapudi Maruti Rao were seen playing pivotal roles. Kamal Haasan is currently shooting for Indian 2, directed by Shankar. He is also working on the pre-production of Thalaivan Irukkiraan, which will be bankrolled by Lyca Productions.
