The actress even said ‘no’ to Superstar Rajinikanth’s recently released film, Darbar, as her dates clashed with her Bollywood debut.
Titled Maidaan, the film is touted to be based on the life of Syed Abdul Rahim, who is credited to be the promoter of football in India.
According to the latest reports, we hear that Keerthy Suresh is no longer a part of this project and she might cancel her agreement with the production house anytime soon.
Rumours are doing rounds that Boney Kapoor, the producer of the film, had apparently asked Keerthy to quit the project as she was too young to play the role. The makers had felt that the role might stereotype her and wouldn’t be a perfect debut for the actor.
However, a source in the know of things says, “Boney never asked Keerthy Suresh to quit the project. However, she is facing date issues, as her portions are getting delayed. This made her to sacrifice many projects down south. It’s true that she is considering to opt out of the project. However, nothing has been finalisedyet.” Keerthy Suresh has also signed Rajinikanth’s upcoming film with Siruthai Siva. She will be seen playing Superstar’s sister in the film. She is also awaiting the release of her Tamil film, titled Penguin.
