Salman Khan seals the deal on Kaithi remake?

SR Prabhu of Dream Warrior Pictures had apparently met the actor in Mumbai last week and sealed the deal.

Karthi’s Kaithi, which released in October 2019, went on to garner rave reviews among both critics and the audience. Many producers from other languages were vying to acquire the remake rights of the film, as they felt that the content had the capacity to cater to all sections of audience.


However, a couple of days ago, SR Prabhu of Dream Warrior Pictures surprised the movie buffs with an announcement that he will be producing the Hindi version of the film too along with Reliance Entertainment. There were also reports that the team is in talks with some of the top stars from Bollywood to play the lead. Now, we hear from reliable sources that Salman Khan has been roped in to reprise Karthi’s role in the film. “SR Prabhu recently met Salman Khan in Mumbai and discussed the possibilities of collaborating with him. However, everything is in the initial stage. An official announcement regarding the cast and crew of the Hindi version will be made by the end of this month,” the source adds.


Kaithi is the story of aprisoner, Dilli, on parole to see his daughter for the very first time. The film also featured Narain and Harish Uthaman in key roles.
