Ponniyin Selvan crew cancels Pune shoot
The team of Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan was supposed to take off to Pune for a month-long schedule. However, due to the coronavirus scare the team has cancelled the shoot and has postponed it indefinitely.

A source close to the film told DT Next, “The cast was informed by the production unit on Tuesday that the upcoming schedule has been cancelled. The dates will be informed once the threat of coronavirus ceases.” The team has completed three schedules in Thailand, Chennai and Hyderabad so far. The first part of the film will hit the screens in April 2021. Currently Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Sobitha Dhulipala have been training intensely for their roles. Aishwarya is playing the antagonist and most of her portions are with Vikram.
