This is the first time, an online photography class is available in nine Indian languages —Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Marathi and Oriya — besides English. Iqbal says that this is the perfect time to cultivate new habits. “It’s always great to see new and exciting visual possibilities in the most familiar and ordinary situation. There is no air pollution and the quality of light is so rich; everything looks so much richer around us. Also, there is very little noise pollution and less distraction. So, it is easy for people to focus on something like photography. For those who are interested in learning photography, this is a wonderful mind space to be in. Once the lockdown is over, every one of us will come out as better and more sensitive imagemakers. I hope the collective power of our images will move the world,” says Iqbal, founder of the founder Light & Life Academy, a photography institute.
