Talking about her role to DT Next, Archana said, “It is an action thriller directed by Johnny. Kabir Duhan Singh plays the antagonist in the film and I will be seen in his portions. However, my character doesn’t have negative shades to it. There are a few songs as well that will feature me. I would say Maha Prashtanam would be a great launchpad for me. Though I am completely new to the language, Johnny made me comfortable in getting my lines right. We have wrapped up the shoot and the film will release later this year”
Archana will also be playing a lawyer in her second film titled Abhimani. “I play a lawyer in the film and am one of the lead characters that drive the story forward. I can’t reveal much about it as it would give away the suspense,” she added. Archana said that she has been utilising this lockdown period to learn south languages. “I have been following Telugu and Tamil films. Having come from Assam, the culture down south is entirely different to me. Watching south films not only helps me in knowing the emotions but also jelps me learn languages,” she concluded.
