Lokesh Kanagaraj to direct Simbu for Raaj Kamal Films

Exclusive update from tinseltown this week is that Kamal Haasan’s production banner Raaj Kamal Films International is keen on bringing Simbu on board for Lokesh Kanagaraj’s next.

Yes, STR fans, you heard it right. From reliable sources we hear that Lokesh has signed a two-movie deal with RKFI. While the first one, which is Kamal Haasan’s 232nd film, will have the actor himself playing the lead, sources in K’town told DT Next.

“The next film, which will be technically Lokesh’s fifth project, will have Simbu playing the lead. Kamal Haasan had called up Simbu last week to discuss the possibility of doing a film that will be directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.”

After Simbu expressed interest, Kamal Haasan is expected to arrange for a narration once Simbu is back in Chennai. “The actor is currently in Kerala practising kalaripayattu for Maanadu. He has a film with Suseenthiran that will be shot in Dindigul,” the source added.
