Directed by Bala, the film never released as the makers weren’t happy with the final output. Only upon the release of the film, netizens realised that they weren’t wrong. The film opened to negative reviews and the audience has slammed the National-award winning director who was at the receiving end of trolls.
A source in the know of things told DT Next, “Bala who usually shoots a scene for three days rushed with this project and shot three to four scenes a day. Vikram wasn’t happy with the output as it would have spoilt Dhruv’s career.
Thankfully, it didn’t make it to the theatres.” It was then that Vikram decided to bring director Gireesaya on board, who was the associate of Arjun Reddy director Sandeep Vanga. When asked if it was Bala’s decision to release the film to prove his prowess as a director, a tinseltown source said that the producer did not consult Bala before releasing it. “Now this decision has backfired and would further dent Bala’s career,” the source added. Post Adithya Varma, Dhruv has films with Karthik Subbaraj and Mari Selvaraj in the pipeline.
