Director Gautham Menon to play the lead in Mani Ratnam’s Navarasa

The director is reported to play the lead role in Karthik Subbaraj’s part of the anthology that will have its premiere on Netflix soon

Director Gautham Menon is a busy actor these days. He was last seen donning the greasepaint in Dulquer Salmaan’s Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal as DCP Prathap Chakravarthi and won critical acclaim. The latest we hear is that the director will be seen playing the lead in Navarasa, an anthology that will be produced by Mani Ratnam for Netflix. A source in the know of things told DT Next, “The shooting is currently taking place in Chennai at full swing. Gautham will be playing the lead in Karthik Subbaraj’s segment. The anthology is expected to premiere in Netflix on Deepavali.” Navarasa will also mark the directorial debut of actors Arvind Swami and Siddharth. While music will be composed by AR Rahman, Ravi Varman is handling the cinematography.

 Suriya, Vijay Sethupathi, Parvati, Sneha, and Jai have been finalised to play the lead roles in Navarasa. Karthick Naren, KV Anand, Bejoy Nambiar, Rathindran Prasad, and Ponram are also directing other 

segments in this anthology as per reports.

Navarasa will also mark the directorial debut of actors Arvind Swami and Siddharth. While music will be composed by AR Rahman, Ravi Varman is handling the cinematography.
