More happiness & success: Khushbu wishes Jayam Ravi on 42nd b'day

Actress-politician Khushbu Sundar wished actor Jayam Ravi, who has turned 42 years on Saturday.

The actor is currently making a lot of buzz for his upcoming magnum opus film with Mani Ratnam titled 'Ponniyin Selvan-1' which is all set to hit theatres on September 30. The actor is playing the character of Arulmozhi Varman aka the great Rajaraja Cholan aka Ponniyin Selvan.

Jayam Ravi was born on 10 September, 1980 as Mohan Ravi in Tirumangalam, Madurai. His father is A Mohan, a veteran film editor and his elder brother Mohan Raja is a popular film director. He completed his Visual Communication from Chennai's Loyola College and decided to get into the film industry and had also learned acting at Kishore Namit Kapur Institute in Mumbai.

He made his debut in Tamil film 'Jayam' released in 2000, which was produced by his father and directed by his elder brother.

Many of the actor's films have been loved by his fans which includes M. Kumaran S/O Mahalakshmi, Thani Oruvan, Thillalangadi, Deepavali, Peranmai, Santosh Subramaniam, Unakkum Enakkum, Romeo Juliet and Miruthan.

Apart from acting, the actor is trained in Bharatnatyam and also has expertise in martial arts.

He married Aarti, the daughter of renowned television producer Sujatha Vijayakumar in 2009 and they have two sons - Aarav and Ayaan.

Meanwhile, apart from PS-1, the actor also has I Ahmed's 'Iraivan', N Kalyan's 'Agilan', Antony Bhagyaraj's 'Siren' and an untitled film with M Rajesh.
