What led to the conception of this fitness fest?

Of late, the trend is that a lot of people just participate in marathons without preparing for them or understanding its concept. I wanted people to understand what fitness means and how incorporating fitness activities into your daily routine is the way to be healthy.

What have you planned for the two-day event?

Along with Abhishek Rengasamy, Founder of Dumbellwear, we have planned about 30 fitness games and activities for people in all age groups, an awards night where fitness enthusiasts will be honoured, a fashion show as well as a series of Yoga and Zumba sessions over the span of two days. Also, if a person completes a set of activities, he or she will be awarded with a Naanum fit dhaan medal. Normalising fitness and healthy diet is the objective of the event and all activities are based on that. Discussions and debates on fitness will also happen.

Tell us about the plans for the future

The whole point of this fest is to convey the message that fitness is accessible to everyone. The entry fee is only Rs 99 when booked before March 16, and Rs 249 after that. We are planning to organise the event every year.
