What led to the conception of ‘Expressionism’ art fest?
Being an artist and traveller, I came across various cities that have good platforms for the display of artworks. However, such initiatives are less and I decided to bridge this gap. I planned to hold this art fest for all the college students and individuals to showcase their painting skills at our art gallery.
Who are the participants?
Students from more than 10 colleges made it to the final round of the competition and around 50 art pieces were on display. Art director Amaran and art curator and film producer Beena Unnikrishnan graced the art exhibition. Various types of paintings, landscapes, portraits, glass-works and abstracts were put to display.
What are your future plans for the promotion of arts?
We shall organize this fest every year as we have received very good response from the participants and the public. We are awarding the best two art pieces as a way to encourage the participants. There are other art academies such as LifeofArt, Zen Academy and Devakar academy that will join us and in this venture of promoting art forms.
