Senbagavalli M, House maid, cook and flower seller
I hail from the city. I currently work as a maid, cook and flower vendor to supplement my family’s income. It has been three months since I started selling flowers. Earlier, my mother-in-law was selling flowers. After her sudden death, I took up her work. I have decided not to leave this job at any point of time in my life. She was really close to me and I treated her like my mother. I have two sons, who are school students. We don’t need any assets other than education for my children. I never received a proper education. But I wanted both my sons to get good education. Last year, we found it very difficult to pay their school fees. This time, I don’t want to get caught in a similar situation. There were several days where I am tired after juggling between different professions. But, my children will always keep me going. I want them to be successful and make me proud. It is only our efforts that will take us higher and let us to accomplish anything in our life.
