While loyalists of the fledgling party claim that their leader is promoting Bigg Boss 3, which is scheduled to commence its third season soon, and that his absence for the next three months might not affect the party morale in any way, rumour mongers within the Maiyam are spinning various theories, some of which have also spread to the social media platforms.
The veteran actor’s silence regarding the ongoing drinking water crisis in the capital has not gone well with a section of the party cadre, some of whom wonder if he is turning out to an election-time politician who doesn’t care about people’s issues when elections are over.
When Kamal was touted as an alternative to the existing Dravidian politics, his absence is questioned by other social media users, too. Many sarcastic posts have sprouted on social media by linking Kamal with heroines who have acted in his movies and his old photos with Pooja Kumar, taken in Singapore.
There were even posts attached to Dravidian parties questioning the absence of Kamal Haasan from the political scene. With so much attention given to Kamal’s absence, his supporters hope that their Bigg Boss would return to politicking soon.
