But, there is a lot of speculation over the itinerary of his trip. The 14-day tour is planned in such a way that he will meet the Indian diaspora to seek their investment in Tamil Nadu, and several ministers will accompany him. The ministers are to leave in 10 days, after which the CM will stay back for another four days on his own.
As there is no itinerary for the four days, rumours have been doing the rounds that Palaniswami may get some health check-ups at a reputed hospital in USA. Recently, the CM went to Apollo for check-ups on two consecutive days during the elections, and sources say that he could be getting a thorough medical examination done in the US. But no matter what the reason is for the extra days, Palaniswami is being praised for his decision to travel as no other CM in the past has gone to foreign countries to woo investors.
