At an event held in the city recently, this reporter came across one such instance as a senior Union Minister broke down while addressing the second round table meet of Confederation of Indian Industry after he heard about the death of former Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs Arun Jaitley.
The Minister was addressing the conference of 200 medical experts when he received the news. He then could not resume his speech and with tears streaming down his eyes, requested the gathering to observe a two-minute silence in honour of Jaitley.
The Minister then requested the organisers to conclude the event as he would no longer be able to be a part of it. The organisers, though hesitant at first, obliged.
