Many asked who designed the CM’s look, and if his suit was tailored or ready-made. While some detractors say the CM’s tie wasn’t knotted well, and his coat wasn’t the right length, there’s no doubt that it’s become a talking point. The pictures of the AIADMK leader in his western attire are being used in party posters and are shared by AIADMK workers on social media.
In a surprising development Seeman, founder of Naam Thamizhar Katchi appreciated the western attire worn by the CM being appropriate for US weather conditions.
“The CM looked great in his coat and suit. Thank god, the PR team did not advise him to wear the traditional attire of Saudi Arabia during his Dubai visit. The loose-fitting Kandoora would not have suited our leader as much as the coat and tie did,” giggled an AIADMK office-bearer, adding that they intend to use the CM’s pictures in western wear in a lot of publicity material as it shows him as a ‘global’ leader.
