A series of events conducted by the Defence Ministry at the Officers Training Academy was not very different when media members were denied entry as they did not have any prior informationon the protocols of the event. There were various security checks that media members had to go through. This kept reporters and camera persons waiting for more than an hour.

A recent event in which Army Chief Bipin Rawat participated was completely addressed in Hindi, that left most of the reporters bewildered as a lot of them did not understand the language.

The chaos continued for more than an hour as reporters could not follow the instructions from officers due to the language barrier and lack of awareness about safety protocols. On the other hand, Army officers also struggled to communicate the programme schedule and regulations to the media.

The public relations officers also seemedto be in trouble juggling between the media and the Army officers.
