Cyril Alfred R, 38, runs a phone shop

Chennai

My sister and wife helped to run the family as both of them had jobs. My sister then quit after getting married. My father worked as an accountant in ESIC hospital and he is retired now. The injury pushed us into financial difficulties.
After I recovered, I began to work as a television salesman for two and a half years. Then I wanted to try starting my own business. My friend taught me about mobile phones and how to service them. Then, I started my own mobile sales and service shop in Vyasarpadi two years ago.
Since then, I have been able to manage my finances without any difficulty. I would earn around Rs 400 to Rs 500 per day depending on the number of customers. My dream now is to open a mobile phone showroom of my own and I am working towards it.
