However, the one machine that have not become very popular among the customers yet is the passbook printing kiosk and looks like the same goes for the burglars who attempt ATM burglaries.
There was a vain burglary attempt at an SBI ATM in Saidapet which had all three machines. The staff at the surveillance room in the headquarters found a man standing inside the cabin for too long and alerted the local police station. Personnel from Saidapet police station rushed to the ATM but the man had escaped from the spot. However, after studying the crime scene, the police realised that the man tried to break open the passbook printing kiosk instead of the teller machine placed right next to the kiosk.
While the police, for their part, have registered a case and have launched a hunt for the man with the help of CCTV footage, a police officer jokingly pointed out that ATM burglars who watch YouTube tutorials to commit the crime should also learn to differentiate between different kiosks.
