C Kingsly (40) Sports shop owner
This forced me to quit playing cricket. I have always been an advocate of fitness and asked my son to be engaged in physical activities. He is good in cricket and to help him improve his technique, I train him every day. I have put up indoor nets on the terrace for him. Though I opened it only to train my son, I let others, too, to train there. I do not expect my son to play at the highest level.
But, I want him to play the game and give importance to fitness. Like most others, I too dreamt of playing cricket at the highest level. But back then, I did not have facilities. Now, there are facilities aplenty. Many parents are encouraging their children to indulge in physical activities. Most of my customers come to buy sports products for their children.
I start my day at 5.30 am every day and end at 10.30 pm. Apart from a sports shop and fitness centre, I also have a cricket brand named ‘Kings’, which is quite popular within the cricket circle in the city.
