What is Suraya’s gift about? who is your target audience?
Suraya is a girl with a big imagination, who loves making up little stories. When a surprise visitor brings her a very special gift, she is thrilled. Her stories are about to get much more interesting. She realises that her writing may be more powerful than she thinks.  I aimed at eight plus age group, but many adults have told me that they loved the book.

Do you more books planned?
I am planning to continue in the same series, but the protagonist will change. I want to make it clear that it is not a series meant for girls alone. The protagonist might also be a boy in the next book planned for the series.

Tell us a little about your projects and your future plans.

Being a Japanese translator is a step up from what I have been doing — writing articles. I have grown up reading Enid Blyton. Today, kids do not have the engagement that we had with reading. I am hoping to get children read a lot through my works.
