Chief Minister J Jayalalitha said, “People should follow the preaching of prophet Mohammed. They should opt for fruitful deeds, not search out others misdeeds, not be envious, be at peace with others and provide food for the hungry. Then one will be uplifted in life.”
Meanwhile, Governor K Rosaiah said, “On the holy occasion of Milad-Un-Nabi, I extend my heartiest greetings and best wishes. Let us, on the Birthday of Prophet Muhammad rededicate ourselves to lead a pure and virtuous life, restrain from evil and promote charity, compassion, unity and harmony.’’
DMK President M Karunanidhi in a statement said, “Prophet Mohammed said “Wherever you go take enmity and be pioneers of delight. Console people instead of bringing them sorrow.” He lived out what he said as he forgave enemies and promoted love through removing enmity. MDMK General Secretary Vaiko stated that the Prophet lived a life without compromise. We on this day pledge to keep intact secularism and brotherhood.
PMK founder Ramadoss said, “Prophet spread brotherhood across the globe. Muslims in Chennai showed their humanity during recent floods by delivering services which others could not undertake. This brotherhood should continue.” DMDK president Vijayakanth in a statement said, “Prophet preached for World prosperity and humanity to sustain, peace, unity and friendship among the public. I greet those who celebrate the birthday of Prophet Mohammed who developed ethics for human race.”
TNCC president EVKS Elangovan greeting Muslims said, “Muslims face terrorist oppression and in India they are targeted for non-secular policies. I wish them strength to defeat evil powers on the Prophet’s birthday.”
