Professor Jacob Tsimerman receives SASTRA-Ramanujan Award

The SASTRA-Ramanujan Award carries citation and cash prize of USD10,000. The institute organised an International Conference on Number Theory and Algebraic Geometry. Tsimerman is a mathematician currently working at the University of Toronto as an assistant professor. His research is primarily revolves around Number Theory and surrounding topics. The award has been named after the Indian Mathematician autodidact Srinivasa Ramanujan. It was established in 2005 by SASTRA University. It is an annual award given to young mathematicians for their contribution to areas influenced by Ramanujan.
