Suvidha train between Ernakulam and Chennai on Jan 17

In order to clear the extra passenger rush after Pongal, Southern Railways will operate ‘Suvidha’ special train between stations in Kerala and Tamil Nadu

The Southern Railways is operating a ‘Suvidha’ special train between Ernakulam and Chennai Central, in order to clear extra rush of traffic on January 17. A large number of passengers travel between the states of Tamil Nadu and Kerala, around this time every year. 

A statement from the Southern Railways said, “Train No.00626 Ernakulam Junction – Chennai Central Suvidha special train will leave Ernakulam Junction at 11.30pm on January 17 and arrive at Chennai Central at 09.30 am the next day (January 18). The special train comprises one AC 2-tier, two AC 3-tier, 12 Sleeper Class and two coaches of luggage-cum-brake van. 

However, the special train will have just five halts in between, and will stop only at Thrissur, Palakkad, Coimbatore, Erode and Katpadi stations during the journey.
