Bomb threat in two schools in Chennai created panic among students and their parents today

A bomb threat call forced several schools in Chennai to declare a holiday. The police rushed to the school premises and searched for the bomb. After the operations, police said that it was a prank call.

These kind of bomb threats are rumours, parents need not panic, the police are following the leads. These calls have been made using public phones, “a senior police official said.

Anxious parents rushed to these schools to take their children home.

“Eventhough police assured us that it was a rumour, we decided to take our children home.” said Aarti, mother of two students at a private school in MRC Nagar.

According to a report, the central team has decided to visit the city concerning this bomb threat. They will be giving few guidelines to tackle bomb threat to ten schools in city.

The city is likely to encounter a traffic jam because of this.
